A dissertation in nursing is structured like any other thesis or exposition but it is important to remember that the report for a research is no like an essay but is a comprehensive report which usually covers five main chapters. The first chapter of the research report is the introduction chapter which introduces the research area, aims and objectives and the research questions. The second chapter is the literature review chapter which covers a critical review of previous researches conducted in the same research area. Once the review of literature is completed, a research methodology chapter is written for the nursing dissertation which covers the methods and techniques utilized for data collection and analysis. The findings and observations of the researcher are the fourth chapter while the last chapter of a nursing thesis covers the conclusion and recommendations. It is important to start each chapter with an introduction and end it with a summary to create a logical from one chapter to another for the readers.
